conditions of rent

CONDITIONS OF RENTAL

  • In the terms of the bequest associated with the gift of the flats to the Uniting Church, first preference is always given to practising Clergy, in settlement with the Uniting Church, then Clergy in retirement from settlement with the Uniting Church, and we trust Uniting Church members will appreciate this condition when making their bookings.
  • The flats are intended primarily for Uniting Church Clergy and Uniting Church members but a recent amendment by the committee now allows other persons to rent the flats.
  • Clergy in Settlement have priority of booking during the Christmas school holidays, provided they  book before 30th June.
  • Because of the increasing popularity of the flats, bookings in the Summer Season, Easter and School Holidays have been restricted to each alternate year.
  •  Bookings begin at 5.00pm and end at 4.00pm on the day of departure.
  •  Bookings by Clergy can be made a maximum of 12 months in advance.
  • All  other bookings are valid up to 6 months prior to commencement.
  • The minimum booking for long weekends will be three nights.
  • During periods of low occupancy, clients booking Mon. to Fri. will receive 4 nights for the price of three (3).
  • Bookings can only be confirmed by an immediate 50% non-refundable deposit, with the balance to be paid one month prior to occupancy.
  •  NO PETS.
  • The Committee or its nominated representatives, is to be given access to the flats on request, accepting the need for mutual agreement on timing.
  • Damage should be reported to a Committee Representative, see below.
  • Each flat can accommodate only six people, and the numbers sleeping at the flats are to be restricted to this number.  Tenants not adhering to this rule, may  be asked to leave the flat immediately.
  •  The Committee has the right to decline a booking.
  • Before departing, please make sure you have left the flats sparkling clean for the next tenants.  Our low rates are made possible by  your co-operation in this area.
