INFORMATION - WHAT TO BRING

LOCATION                       The flats are within easy walking distance of the main beach and shopping area, set amongst gum trees, half way between the Post Office and the pier and facing Mountjoy Parade (Great Ocean Road).  From the verandah there is an extensive view of Louttit Bay.
ACCOMMODATION                        Each flat has a separate entrance, and a living room with a T.V. and an electric space heater.  They each have two bedrooms, (2 single beds & one bunk bed in one room and a double/single bunk in the other.)  Blankets and pillows and electric blankets are supplied. We must insist that you accommodate no more than six, as we have had a problem with noise in the past.  Each kitchen has an electric stove, microwave oven, refrigerator, toaster, jug, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.  The bathrooms have hot water, showers and sewered toilets. There is a porta cot shared between each flat,  a shared laundry but no iron.  There is also an extra toilet outside to be shared by both flats.   If any of your party use it, please make sure you leave it clean as well.  A portable barbeque is available in the laundry, and should be left in a clean state.  If the gas cylinder needs refilling please obtain receipt and send to Lorne Flats Booking Secretary for reimbursement.  ARRIVAL                             Your booking begins at 5.00pm.   Power board is on front veranda between the two flats.
DEPARTURE                       Your booking at the flat must finish before 4.00pm on the last day of your holiday.
CLEANING                           Our economical rates are only possible with your co-operation in leaving the house clean, remembering to empty the vacuum cleaner bag after you have used it.   Please leave all doors and windows securely locked, electricity turned off at individual switches and at meter, and take garbage up to where the street meets the carpark, to be cleared on Monday nights. 
ANY DAMAGE                 must  be reported as soon as possible to Jenny on (03) 5281 3287, John Brownbill (Secretary) 5229 7794 or the Presbytery of Port Phillip West, P.O.Box 958,  Geelong, 3220.  
RENTALS        A 50% deposit confirms your booking, and the remainder must be paid one month prior to occupancy.   Cheques should be made payable to the “Presbytery of Port Phillip West” and sent to Jenny Patchett, Box 1,  Shelford   VIC  3329
WHAT TO BRING        Bed linen, waterproof sheeting for young children, tea towels and towels. To keep tariffs low, we ask you to provide your own cleaning equipment also, including dish washing liquid, toilet and bathroom cleaners and toilet paper.  
CHURCH SERVICES   St Cuthberts Uniting Church warmly welcomes visitors to their services, which are normally held at 10.00am on Sundays.  Holy Communion is on the first Sunday of the month.
MAIL AND PAPERS     Mail should be addressed to c/- Post Office.  Daily papers may be ordered for delivery at the local newsagent.

NO SMOKING   This is a smoke free establishment.
N.B                  No booking is allowed two years running during peak periods viz. Christmas holidays, long weekends, Easter and school holidays.  Preference of  bookings will be given to Clergy in Settlement during the Christmas holiday period, provided they book prior  to June 30th.
KEYS             may be picked up at “The Chicken Joint”, 134  Mountjoy Parade, Lorne, between 5.00 pm and 9.00 pm and returned there by 4.00 pm when leaving. Ring Jenny 5281 3287 or John 5229 7794 if there is any problem with keys. Please DO NOT expect the Chicken Joint to drop keys elsewhere for your convenience - they provide this service in a voluntary capacity. 
PHONES           Both flats have phones which receive INCOMING calls only.

LOCATION                246 Mountjoy Parade (Great Ocean Road), Lorne
VEHICLE ACCESS   -    NO vehicle access is available from the front of the property.    Vehicles need to turn from Mountjoy Parade  (Great Ocean Road) into Albert Street (Lorne Hospital is on the corner), then take the first turn left into Smith Street, then first turn left into Francis Street.  The flats are the last house on your right, with the car park at the rear of the block.  You are encouraged to arrive in daylight.
